Ever wonder why the Nepalese are so healthy-looking? Sure, climbing Mt. Everest probably helps, but it might be more than that (or less if we’re going based on the size of the thing). Yes, I’m talking about yak.
The Rapid City Journal out of South Dakota reports that the meat is new to the state, but it is not the only place that it can be found. People have been eating it for a long time, and the Rapid City Journal knows just why. It’s higher in Omega 3 than any other meat, it’s pretty beefy, and pretty much healthier than any meat you could imagine.
If Benjamin Buford “Bubba” Blue’s family had a yak farm, I bet he could come up with all sorts of way to eat the meat. I, however, would be happy with just a burger or a steak.
It certainly sounds like my type of meat, and hopefully I don’t have to go to the Himalayas or South Dakota to get it.
