I definitely have to check out Hole in the Wall, I’ve heard some good things and especially now that you’ve recommended it. I do enjoy The Counter, but there’s also a great, albeit basic, custom burger place in Pasadena called Jake’s. It’s worth checking out if you’re in the area. Great review! I’m going to have to try ’em out. For a burger with hollandaise and tator tots, I’m willing to risk the chance of a dry patty. BTW, have you tried the Hole In The Wall Burger Joint in West LA yet? My fav burger spot, it’s a design-your-own-burger place, like a better version of The Counter (which is, in my opinion, decent enough but somewhat overrated). Hole etc. is a little pricey for what they are, but they have well-seasoned and perfectly cooked meat, sweet potato fries, homemade condiments and don’t forget to try the pretzel buns…
