As Step-father of the bride and the Unvegan himself, I should have been with the group, but was napping instead. I do, however, know about the power of Slow’s because we tried to eat there on a Saturday night, last year, and there was a 2 hour wait. Unfortunately, there was no Slow’s To Go, so we didn’t get to eat the now-legendary food. With their continued and growing reputation for quality BBQ in a city loaded with great BBQ restaurants, Slow’s is fast becoming what should be the subject of a segment of the Food Network’s hit show “Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives.”. Oops, did I just contribute to adding hours to the wait?

went to slow’s for lunch this past wednesday and we had to wait 1 hr and 15 minutes and totally worth the wait!

After I stopped marveling at the strength of those Tigers hats to hold the Jew-fros of you, your dad and your uncle, I moved to the review. Slows does sound great and I am sorry I missed it last weekend. The next time I am in Detroit (funny parenthetical) I will have to try it.

So glad you got a taste of Detroit! Slows is recognized as one of the best BBQ places in the country. Quite a feat, indeed, and apparently well deserved based on the unvegan review, which I trust completely!
