I originally hit up this place 3 times in one week in Tokyo, then found it in California and I make yearly pilgrimages to it from Oakland.

They have a great happy hour (the prices are incredible then) and make a reservation they fill up most nights. For each dish you order, ask the waiter the optimal cooking time.
