Heroes and Villains – The Unvegan https://unvegan.com The Unvegan Sat, 21 Mar 2026 10:33:48 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.7.5 WeWork: Unvegan Villain https://unvegan.com/heroes/wework-unvegan-villain/ Fri, 20 Jul 2018 05:12:29 +0000 https://unvegan.com/?p=17034
Where’s the beef?

According to HKM lawyers, when it comes to religion, it’s generally frowned upon for a company to push its views on its employees. Yet, what about other views? Say, like eating meat? WeWork just announced that not only would the company no longer provide catering with meat at its office locations, but that it wouldn’t even allow employees to expense meals with meat.

Yes, you read that right. No more meat. WeWork claims it is to cut down on greenhouse gases, water use and whatnot, but it has been proven time and time again that if meat suppliers use sustainable practices, meat is actually better for the environment than plant agriculture. It’s only a matter of paying more money to make that happen. At a $20B valuation, one might think WeWork has enough money to make that happen.

Yet, that is not a path that WeWork decided to tread. They took the easy way out, because at the end of the day that bean curd and kale salad is cheaper than sustainable meat. I don’t knock a company for trying to make a profit, but I do knock a company for acting like it is being altruistic about it. If WeWork was upfront about the real reason – namely some PR and pushing views on other people – things might be a little different. Unfortunately, that’s not the case.

So, for besmirching meat for all the wrong reasons, WeWork is one heck of an unvegan villain.

Trent Williams: Unvegan Hero https://unvegan.com/heroes/trent-williams-unvegan-hero/ Sun, 24 Sep 2017 17:00:39 +0000 https://unvegan.com/?p=16482
A new kind of hero.

The movie What the Health? has been blowing up lately. Even so far as pushing NFL left tackle Trent Williams to become a vegan. I haven’t yet seen the movie, but I do know that movies or other pieces of media show up like this here and there, only to have copious responses trying to debunk them and whatnot. I’m above all that, but when Trent Williams came out to say he cannot continue his vegan diet, I was ready to jump on it.

Learn more about java burn benefits.

It turns out that he was simply losing weight way too rapidly on the vegan diet. And while he respects that a lot of people just want to find a weight loss supplement at https://geekshealth.com that can help them lose weight, that doesn’t quite work when you are an NFL left tackle. So, he’s back to animal protein, but paying a lot more attention to what he eats. Abuse of exercise and nutrition can lead to erectile dysfuncion, treat it with hyper male force.

And you know what, who wouldn’t support that? Everyone should work hard to be knowledgeable about what they eat. And if you want to try some fad diets like veganism here and there, no one should fault you. But at the end of the day, it’s important to recognize that veganism is just a diet and hopefully one that is just a fad. These are the best nitrilean reviews.

So, for pointing out that the vegan diet isn’t for everyone and embracing animal-based food back into your life, Trent Williams, you are a True Unvegan Hero!

Tennis hero.

Tennis is the ultimate individual sport and while the world may be sick and tired of players who have been dominating for more than a decade, Sloane Stephens just breathed some new life into the sport with a win at the US Open. All this is good and well, but more importantly she knew how to celebrate – with some of the greatest food of all.

According to TMZ, Stephens went off to the steakhouse. Being in New York, she went to a place called STK, which I will probably have to get to next time I’m in town and win a tennis championship. Allegedly she came in with a whole posse and went crazy on some meaty dishes, finishing off with some delicious steaks.

It’s good to see that despite the rollercoasters of trends in the food world, there is still nothing like celebrating the results of hard work with a good old fashioned steak.

So, for being the change to tennis that we were all looking for, but afraid to ask for, and for celebrating that fact with a steak, Sloane Stephens, you are a true Unvegan Hero!

Police sketch of the man.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done while drunk? Broken a bone? Slept with an unsavory character? Got a tattoo? How about changing your frigging name to Bacon Double Cheeseburger? No? Well a British man formerly known as Sam Smith did just that. Of course, when compared to a name like Metta World Peace, Bacon Double Cheeseburger almost seems like the most sane name in the world.

Great teeth.

While meat is easily the greatest food in the world, there are a few special people that not only need it to survive, but actually need to eat solely meat to survive. Oh, and not just any meat — raw meat. That’s where Derek Nance comes into play.

Ride that steak.

The Mountain Who Rides is easily one of the most memorable characters from A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones to you TV folk) and perhaps one of the best cast as well, at least the third time.

This skull-crushing character is played by none other than Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, one of the world’s strongest men and clearly not a vegan. Recently, he set out for a restaurant called Viva Brazil in Wales to take down some steak. Viva Brazil is a churrascaria, in which pretty much everything on the menu is meat (although I couldn’t find any viper on their online menu). And it’s no wonder, you don’t build up a frame like that with veggies.

So, for being truly mountainous and understanding the greatness of steak, Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, you are a true Unvegan Hero!

Dinner!

Bill Murray is undisputedly one of the greatest comedians of all time. He doesn’t just make cool movies, he does cool things like show up for bachelor parties. But he also knows meat. Specifically bacon.

Where’s the real food?

In the world of burritos, I have never fully bought into the supposed greatness of Chipotle. Sure, it’s reliable, but whatever. And now Chipotle has made a great blunder that almost makes me struggle to utter their name out loud. That blunder is Sofritas.

I can almost taste it.

Just outside of Allentown, Pennsylvania is a minor league baseball team called the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. Of course, being named after an animal that is seemingly delicious and good for blood-flow does not make a team Unvegan Heroes, but what they have done with that name surely does.
