A new kind of hero.

The movie What the Health? has been blowing up lately. Even so far as pushing NFL left tackle Trent Williams to become a vegan. I haven’t yet seen the movie, but I do know that movies or other pieces of media show up like this here and there, only to have copious responses trying to debunk them and whatnot. I’m above all that, but when Trent Williams came out to say he cannot continue his vegan diet, I was ready to jump on it.

Learn more about java burn benefits.

It turns out that he was simply losing weight way too rapidly on the vegan diet. And while he respects that a lot of people just want to find a weight loss supplement at https://geekshealth.com that can help them lose weight, that doesn’t quite work when you are an NFL left tackle. So, he’s back to animal protein, but paying a lot more attention to what he eats. Abuse of exercise and nutrition can lead to erectile dysfuncion, treat it with hyper male force.

And you know what, who wouldn’t support that? Everyone should work hard to be knowledgeable about what they eat. And if you want to try some fad diets like veganism here and there, no one should fault you. But at the end of the day, it’s important to recognize that veganism is just a diet and hopefully one that is just a fad. These are the best nitrilean reviews.

So, for pointing out that the vegan diet isn’t for everyone and embracing animal-based food back into your life, Trent Williams, you are a True Unvegan Hero!

The look of someone who may have just eaten a steak.

Well, the time is upon us. College football has finally arrived, and if you know me, you you know that the past few seasons have not treated me too well. To say that my dear Wolverines of the University of Michigan have been performing below expectations would be like saying Hitler may have had questionable morals. But Wolverine nation can smell change for the better.

Enter Brady Hoke, the man originally regarded as the Jim Harbaugh backup plan. Since his hiring, he has charmed the pants off of Wolverines worldwide. We’re all counting on him to restore the glory of Michigan football, and that starts tomorrow. But winning and being charming are not enough to become an Unvegan Hero. No, it certainly takes more.

-
He has figuratively charmed the pants off of this Wolverine, my mom.

The state of Michigan’s resident journalistic genius, Mitch Albom, wrote an article the other day that compares the coming of Brady Hoke to a person giving up veganism. He writes, “The three-year Rich Rodriguez experiment was like an avowed meat-lover going vegan because everyone says he should, until he finally spits out the bean curd and says, ‘Gimme a steak!'” Ok, so maybe that’s a little more appropriate than my Hitler analogy, but you get the drift. When Albom asked if Hoke was a vegan, he replied, “No, sir!”

Damn straight. As the article continues, Albom continues to compare Hoke to steak and I’m starting to like the analogy. In fact, it’s only appropriate that Brady Hoke should become an Unvegan Hero in the same offseason that Jim Tressel became an Unvegan Villain. You know, just another chapter in the storied rivalry.

So for being the steak, for not being a vegan and bringing hope to rabid Wolverines, Brady Hoke, you are a true Unvegan Hero!

Go blue!

Feeeeeed meeeee

As a lifelong Detroit Lions fan, come playoff time I really have very little allegiances. I do my best to root for former Michigan players on teams (Tom Brady, Chad Henne, Jake Long, Charles Woodson and Steve Breaston to name a few), which sometime results in those players playing against each other. Now, though, I may have a new reason to root for teams: How unvegan are they?

A friend of mine recently sent me an article in the New York Post about Rex Ryan. First off, Rex is a pretty awesome name because it means king, but being named king is not enough on its own to become an Unvegan Hero. Luckily, Ryan, has what it takes. Sure, his 350-pound body is nothing to be desired, but the guy loves his eating. According to the post, he celebrated his most recent playoff victory with a cheese steak and a beer. “I have never heard him order a Cobb salad,” a source told The Post.

Living this meaty lifestyle has certainly not affected his ability to coach. At the beginning of the playoffs, no one expected the Jets to even win a game. Now he is leading a rookie quarterback (and fellow Unvegan Hero), Mark Sanchez, into the AFC Championship. Because of this, I will be hoping for a Jets victory on Sunday (and it doesn’t hurt that former Michigan receiver, Braylon Edwards, is on that team).

So for being yourself, not eating salads and doing a pretty good coaching job in the process, Rex Ryan, you are a true Unvegan Hero!

Oh you know…just wingin’ it.

Some bars are known for their food, some bars don’t have any food (losers) and some bars happen to have food, but aren’t exactly known for it. Capitol City, a semi-new sports bar in Hollywood is one of the latter. Nonetheless, there was a football game to be watched and it happened to fall during happy hour, so Capitol City became my dinner and drinks destination for the night.

First off, their happy hour is pretty badass by the looks. It includes some pretty decent beers, including Blue Moon for four bucks, which is as good as you’re gonna get in Hollywood. Drinks aside, they have some great-looking $5 appetizers, so after downing a couple Blue Moons, I decided to order their wings.

It took a little while for them to come, but as long as I had beer, I was content to wait. When they did arrive, they looked pretty good. It came with the obligate carrots and celery, which I passed onto hungry drunks next to me. The wings were a decent size and there were enough on the plate to make them well-worth the five bucks. Their sauce wasn’t anything amazing, but it was spicy enough to keep me happy. And hey, for five bucks I certainly couldn’t complain. I can’t speak for the real menu, but Capitol City definitely delivers for happy hour, which is pretty great in a city that could use more hours of happy.

Horses are meat eaters now?

**Edit** Congrats to Boise State on their victory.

Since my football team wasn’t even bowl eligible, I’ve had a tough time figuring out who to root for in each bowl game this season. For tonight’s Fiesta Bowl, though, this will not be a problem. The game pits the Boise State Broncos against the TCU Horned Frogs. Although the concept of a horned frog is awesome, I will be cheering for Boise State because of their intense love of meat.

TMZ reported that the Boise State football team paid a visit to Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian restaurant known for catering to carnivorous appetites. According to TMZ, “A rep for the restaurant tells us they served 130 members of the team, who, on average, consumed between 3-4 pounds of meat per person, totaling roughly 450 pounds of beef.”

My word, that is a lot of beef. And I thought horses were herbivores.

For having a pretty damn good football team that I (surprisingly) have no problem with and eating a ton of meat, Boise State Broncos, you are true Unvegan Heroes!

And here’s a bonus video to show why else Boise State is pretty awesome.

unvegan mark sanchezBeing a Michigan football fan, I always disliked Mark Sanchez. As he quarterbacked for USC, he was an easy guy to hate. Now that he has entered the NFL and plays for the New York Jets, any problem I may have had with him have gone away. Not only that, but watching him play on TV a couple weeks ago has elevated him to a level higher than just about any other athlete in the country. During a timeout, Sanchez was caught on film chowing down on a hot dog.

Check out the film below.

If you look closely, you can see that he has chosen not to put any ugly vegetables like relish or onions on his hot dog. Instead he has simply chosen mustard, keeping things unvegan. For some reason, people in the media were upset at Sanchez, and to appease these people he made an even greater unvegan decision and donated 1,000 hot dogs and hamburgers to a local soup kitchen.

For eating a veggie-free hot dog to help your football performance and donating meat to the needy, Mark Sanchez, you are a true Unvegan Hero!
