Some consider hunting to be a barbaric act, one that modern domestication and ethics should have long removed from humanity. But what do those ethics have to say when that hunting is used to serve the common good of humanity? That’s where Missouri Governor Jay Nixon comes in.
It almost pains me to consider Sarah Palin as a hero of anything, yet for her stance on meat, she is most certainly an Unvegan Hero. Unless you’ve been living in a hole for the past two and a half years, you know that Sarah Palin is an avid hunter and meat eater. We’ve all heard the stories, but it wasn’t until a recent episode of Sarah Palin’s Alaska that the world got to see it for themselves.
Well, it was really only a matter of time before Ted Nugent got the spotlight on People for the Ethical Eatment of Animals. We all know he is a great rock star and outdoorist (read: hunter), but in a recent episode of Penn & Teller: Bullshit, he really goes off on animal rights “extremists” like PETA. He declares, “Meat is food. Case closed.”
He also gets a little personal on the subject, saying that the lives of his children have been threatened because of the lifestyle they live as meat eaters. Amazing that these extremists care more for the animals than for their fellow humans.
