A lot of vegans get down on carnivores, claiming that they live better and longer and whatnot, but when it comes down to it, they are just spouting out words without reason. We unvegans know the truth, or at least the research, and this research tells us that the reason we live as long as we do is because of our meat-eating.
I really have no idea where this video came from, although I do believe there is a British accent involved. Nonetheless, this awesome video features a faux band called IronWorkz and this band helps tell the tale of why red meat is so important to the diet. It’s refreshing to see an entertaining ad like this in a world flooded with tasteless and really unfunny PETA ads. Check it out below, and be entertained.
We’ve all heard about pitcher plants and Venus fly traps; carnivorous plants that trap insects and sometimes bigger animals to get their nutrients. Most vegetarians probably don’t concern themselves with these plants since they would never consider eating them. But what if they were to find out that some of their beloved vegetables were responsible for the deaths of animals?
This has been a big week in the world of meat-eating. Scientists in Holland or the Netherlands or whatever you call it have grown the first piece of in-vitro meat. In layman’s terms, they grew meat in a lab without killing any animals.
Meat eaters of the world have many enemies. They can come in the form of PETA or a hamburger that someone has decided to ruin with lettuce. One of the newest enemies, however, can’t be easily remedied by making fun of vegans or by sending food back to the kitchen. This enemy is global warming.
A recent article in the Washington Post might, on the surface, seem to be good publicity for PETA, but anyone who reads the article between the lines can see what is really happening. The article talks about the fanatical lives of PETA interns. You know, how they stuff envelopes, hand out pamphlets and umm cover themselves in fake blood.
A few weeks ago, I ordered the Guide to Better Bacon from the Zingerman’s food empire as a gift for one of my friends. A real friend forces you to eat tons of bacon! Anyway, the book never showed, so I called up Zingerman’s and they were kind enough to ship me another book expressly. The new book arrived two days later and soon after made its way to my buddy.
A few days passed and I forgot about the book, but when I got my mail this morning, I was greeted by a most pleasant surprise.
Recently, a jury in Georgia had a most interesting case. According the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, some vegans were protesting outside of a HoneyBaked Ham store. A poorly trained undercover police officer was taking pictures of the protest and the vegans noticed him. They wrote down his license plate number. The officer was worried since it was his own car and could be linked back to his home, so he tried to get the paper with his license plate number back.
Apparently Russian roulette isn’t the only way to live dangerously. In fact, eating that side salad that came with your meal is like playing Russian roulette with your stomach. According to the Center for Science in the Public Interest, leafy greens are the most dangerous food you can eat. This has been determined by how often they cause outbreaks, which apparently is a lot. And the greens aren’t alone. They are joined by vegetable cohorts like tomatoes and sprouts in the top ten list.
